From Humble Beginnings
ONE COLD, WET, DARK winter evening filing a pipe, covered in mud, deep in a trench James decided enough was enough.
As he drove home from the job frustrated, cold and wet he decided there had to be an easier and quicker way to perform the simple act of connecting two pipes!
Surely there were builders, groundworkers & plumbers up and down the country stuck in drains struggling needlessly.
As Confucius the Chinese Teacher, Editor, Politician, and Philosopher once said:
“Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated” – Confucius
Creating The Solution
Feeling sorry for himself but comforted by the warm fire on that winter evening he searched the internet for the answer to his problem. But alas he couldn’t find what he was looking for.
Frustrated but determined he took out a pencil and notepad and began to draw & come up with ideas about what would create a bevel. But not just any bevel – it had to be the perfect bevel.
While he wasn’t inventing ground-breaking technology like Steve Jobs nevertheless he felt humbled and drew on one of his famous quotes for inspiration.
“Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you and you can change it,
you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use.” – Steve Jobs
So while not a Chinese teacher or technology guru he knew he could create value for people like him in the construction industry.
Birth of the Pipetopper
Through trial and error, he formed the idea for the tool with a Diamond Coat and put a fitting name to it – The Pipetopper.
What started out as a personal bugbear has become the ‘go-to-solution’ for professional tradespeople, groundworkers, builders and plumbers up and down the country.
The Pipetopper has received glowing reviews from everyone who has used it, like:
Trevor in Tipperary –
“This is a fantastic tool. I can’t believe someone didn’t come up with it sooner”.
And David in Cork –
“A must-have tool in every Builder’s toolkit. It saves me so much time and effort.
And gives me peace of mind that the pipes I fit are secure”.
